Knowledge First. Intelligence Always.

Knoco Opens Free Knowledge Management Foundations Course to Malaysian Professionals

Self-paced program gives professionals a practical starting point for stronger knowledge capability, better decisions and AI-ready operations

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | 6 September 2026

Knoco International has opened its Knowledge Management Foundations course to Malaysian professionals and organisations at no cost, providing an accessible introduction to the practical methods used to create, capture, share, retain and apply knowledge.

Available through the Knoco Academy at https://training.knoco.com/, the self-paced online programme is designed for professionals who are new to knowledge management as well as those seeking a structured refresher. Learners who complete the programme and successfully pass the online examination receive a Knowledge Management Foundations Certificate issued through Knoco Institute. The certificate can be added to LinkedIn profiles, resumes, CVs and other professional records.

The initiative reflects Knoco International’s broader focus on helping organisations build the knowledge capability required to learn faster, protect critical expertise, improve execution and make better decisions. These capabilities are increasingly important as organisations pursue digital transformation and artificial-intelligence initiatives.

Technology alone cannot ensure that organisational knowledge is accurate, current, governed or reusable. Effective knowledge management provides the people, processes, culture, technology and governance needed to turn information and experience into practical organisational value and a stronger foundation for AI-enabled work.

“Knowledge Management is no longer a specialist concern limited to large multinational organisations,” said Cory Cannon, President and CEO of Knoco International. “It is an organizational strategic asset that helps people learn from experience, retain what matters, avoid repeating mistakes and make better decisions. By making this foundations programme freely available, we want to give professionals in Malaysia a practical starting point they can apply immediately in their own organisations.”

The course is based on Foundations of Knowledge Management: A Practical Beginner’s Guide, developed by Cory Lee Cannon and the Knoco International network. A complimentary digital copy of the book is included as part of the learning journey.

Participants explore the knowledge lifecycle, lessons learned, communities of practice, knowledge retention, change management, measurement, governance and operating models. The programme also examines the relationship between knowledge management and AI, including the importance of trusted knowledge, effective governance and reliable evaluation when organisations deploy intelligent systems.

The programme is suitable for managers, project and operational leaders, digital-transformation and innovation teams, knowledge managers, human-resources and organisational-development professionals, and others responsible for improving learning or knowledge sharing. No previous knowledge-management experience is required, and most learners can complete the core content within a few hours while retaining access to revisit the material.

The free Foundations course also serves as the entry point to Knoco Institute’s broader professional-development pathway. Learners seeking deeper capability can progress to advanced training and the Knowledge Management Certified Professional programme, which focuses on designing, implementing and sustaining knowledge-management capability in real organisations.
